## Can the Product Goal Change During a Sprint?
Typically, the Product Goal remains stable during a Sprint, but if the team discovers something that invalidates it, they may refine it or stop the Sprint, depending on the context.
>[!metaphor]
>Stopping a Sprint because a Product Goal is invalidated is like aborting a road trip when you realize the destination no longer exists. There’s no point burning fuel heading somewhere that won’t deliver the intended value. Teams refine or stop the Sprint because continuing work without adjusting the goal would waste effort chasing a now-meaningless outcome.
