## What Does It Mean for the Product Goal to Be a Commitment?
In Scrum, “commitment” does not mean promising guaranteed outcomes. Instead, it’s about aligning work for focus and transparency. The Product Goal as a commitment to the Product Backlog means the backlog is ordered and refined with this goal as its guiding star, not that it will be delivered at all costs.
